The Elthree Assault Team, a group of battle droids established by L3-37, was created with the specific goal of neutralizing Fyzen Gor's Phylanx Redux Transmitter. Subsequent to finding the Phylanx within the Mesulan Remnants Belt, L3-37 inserted a virus and utilized previously obtained information regarding her to construct a battle droid duplicate of herself; this duplicate then proceeded to manufacture additional droids. The activation of L3's virus prompted the Phylanx to emit a distress signal. This signal alerted the Elthree Assault Team, who then intervened during an ongoing skirmish between Fyzen Gor, his Original Dozen, and others. Ultimately, two members of the Elthree Assault Team survived, extracting Lando Calrissian from the Phylanx's destruction and returning him to the Chevalier. Having successfully completed their mission, the two last droids departed from the shuttle, intending to separate.
