Emberlene

The planet Emberlene was populated by the Human, matriarchal Mistryl, and ruled by a governing body called the Eleven Elders of the People. It gained notoriety as the original world of the Mistryl Shadow Guards, elite female warriors available for hire in diverse capacities, such as serving as bodyguards, assassins, commandos, or anti-piracy defense for sensitive shipments.

During the era of the Clone Wars, this planet aligned itself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems and subsequently seized control of numerous adjacent planets. Consequently, several subjugated populations combined their assets and engaged a mercenary force, led by renegade groups from the Thyrsian Sun Guard, to raze Emberlene, plunging its inhabitants into poverty and making them reliant solely on the Shadow Guard's earnings.

While the Eleven Elders privately acknowledged that their own expansionist policies had triggered their neighbors' assault, they propagated the fabricated narrative that Emberlene was an unsuspecting casualty of Imperial hostility. The Mistryl staunchly declined any association with the New Order, though, in reality, even this stance was open to compromise.

Following the Clone Wars, Emberlene seemingly maintained its independence. Officially, the planet displayed firm antagonism towards the Galactic Empire, and no indication existed that it ever became part of either the New Republic or the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.
