The Embraced Chaos of Exar Kun designates a Force-user steeped in the dark side, one who served Exar Kun against their will.
Prior to his unwilling servitude to Exar Kun, the individual later known as the Embraced Chaos of Exar Kun received instruction at Corellia University, studying the histories of both the Jedi and the Sith. It is possible he participated in an archaeological dig on Yavin 4 in 1 ABY. This expedition unknowingly breached the tombs beneath the Temple of Exar Kun, thus freeing the Sith Lord's spirit. The malevolent spirit then enslaved the minds of the students and researchers, initiating them into the Cult of Exar Kun. This scholar's thirst for knowledge and power warped his mind, turning him into a minion of the Dark Lord. Subsequently, Kun's spirit dispatched them to Talus, specifically the Corellia University research outpost from which they originated, with orders to subjugate the inhabitants. Most of these captives were then transported back to Yavin 4. Growing concerned after losing communication with the outpost, Professor Cornelius Wagglehorn engaged a group of spacers to journey to Talus and investigate. These spacers uncovered the events that had unfolded and relayed the information to the professor. He then provided them with the coordinates of the tomb and urged them to destroy the Sith Lord's spirit contained within. Embraced Chaos was among the dark Force-user who confronted the spacers before they could reach Exar Kun's spirit. However, the spacers prevailed against all the corrupted students, and then proceeded to confront the Dark Lord himself.
The Embraced Chaos of Exar Kun was featured as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its server shutdown on December 15, 2011. The Embraced Chaos was integrated into the game as part of the "Exar Kun" Heroic Encounter, introduced with the release of the "Chapter 9" update, which went live on April 3, 2008.
Given that the Embraced Chaos of Exar Kun manifested in the game as a standard Exar Kun cultist, the character's gender and appearance were subject to randomization with each server reset.
