Emita
Emita, a relatively small urban center could be found on the Core Worlds world of Chandrila. This location was home to one of the three fully operational starports that Chandrila possessed, and it stood alone as the designated zone for industrial production across the entire planet. A significant portion of the Gladean State Parks, leisure areas funded through an industrial levy, were situated within the boundaries of this city.
Description

Situated on the Ananta continent of the Core Worlds planet Chandrila, Emita was a modest town. The Emita Spaceport, one of only three fully functional spaceports on Chandrila, was located within the city limits.
As the only area on Chandrila designated for industrial manufacturing, Emita housed the facilities of ChandrilTech. This company operated several locations within the city, including a warehouse, its main manufacturing plant, numerous retail outlets and showrooms, and its towering headquarters. Industrial activities in Emita were subject to strict environmental regulations, which, while discouraging external investment, fostered advancements in environmentally conscious manufacturing among native Chandrilans. Despite its industrial presence, Emita was also the location of the majority of the Gladean State Parks, a network of recreational and natural sites distributed across Chandrila. Examples of these parks included the Gladean Arboretum and the Gladean Gardens Botanical Park of Chandrila. Similar to the other parks, these attracted tourists from the Ringali Shell region of the Core Worlds and from further afield.
The Emita Spaceport was the only such facility on its continent and the smallest of Chandrila's three spaceports. Significant quantities of grain cultivated in the northern regions of Chandrila's eastern continent were transported through the spaceport, as were many galactic travelers en route to the Chandrilan Academy of Sciences, an institution of higher learning located in Emita that drew students from across the Core Worlds. A transport service ferried passengers across the Emerald Ocean to Hanna City, Chandrila's seat of government.
History
Many millennia before the Galactic Civil War, the city was governed by Governor Gladean. Gladean imposed a tax on industrial activities on Chandrila, employing a complex formula to calculate the charges levied on companies. The funds collected were deposited into the Gladean State Parks Fund and allocated to parks throughout Chandrila. During the Imperial Period, the city's governor was Dehsea.
Inhabitants
The Chandrilan Academy of Science, based in Emita, attracted numerous bright researchers from across the Core Worlds to the city.
Behind the scenes
Emita was initially referenced in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Coruscant and the Core Worlds, published by Wizards of the Coast.
