Enarc

Enarc was a planetary body situated within the Mid Rim region, as described in planet lore.

Description

Positioned strategically at the intersection of multiple hyperlanes, Enarc functioned as a prominent hub for trade. These hyperlanes facilitated connections between various Mid Rim worlds, linking the Hydian Way and the Corellian Run. Serving as the termination point for the Enarc Run, it also acted as a crucial departure point for commerce and travel directed towards the Outer Rim Territories.

History

During the period known as the New Sith Wars, a significant battle occurred on this planet, resulting in a victory for the forces of the Sith.

Enarc functioned as a regional headquarters for the Trade Federation. This planet was a distribution center, and numerous Lucrehulk-class LH-3210 cargo freighters orbited it. During the year 32 BBY, Enarc served as the primary staging area for the fleet of battleships under the command of Saak'ak, which was dispatched to blockade the planet Naboo.

In 19 BBY, Enarc was under the control of Customs Vizier Marath Vooro, who challenged the authority of Acting Viceroy Sentepeth Findos and resisted the Galactic Empire's efforts to nationalization the Trade Federation. In the same year, his forces suffered a defeated at the hands of an Imperial fleet during the Five Veils Campaign. Ultimately, the Empire seized the Trade Federation's assets on Enarc, transforming it into a transport and supply command for the Imperial Army.

Behind the scenes

The precise location of Enarc was, for some time, a matter of uncertainty. The sourcebook Twin Stars of Kira suggested its proximity to space heavily influenced by the Corporate Sector, while Secrets of Naboo indicated it was close to Naboo. The Essential Atlas resolved these discrepancies by placing it near Naboo, but also noting that the Corporate Sector Authority had established a de facto enclave along the Enarc Run.
