Five Veils Campaign

The Five Veils Campaign represents a military operation that occurred in 19 BBY during the Galactic Empire's Reconquest of the Rim. This operation targeted rebellious elements within the Trade Federation. These elements, under the leadership of Customs Vizier Marath Vooro, refused to accept the treaty which ceded control of the Federation's assets to the Empire. In response, Imperial Grand Moff Octavian Grant crushed Vooro's forces at the planet of Farstine, and subsequently apprehended Vooro himself in the Hook Nebula, effectively bringing the campaign to a close.

Prelude

Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY, which saw the Galactic Republic emerge victorious over the Confederacy of Independent Systems, some elements of the Trade Federation, formerly allied with the Confederacy, continued to oppose the newly formed Galactic Empire. This resistance movement was spearheaded by Customs Vizier Marath Vooro of the Trade Federation. Vooro's faction rejected the treaty signed by Acting Viceroy Sentepeth Findos, which transferred control of all Trade Federation resources and assets to the Empire.

Vooro, disputing Findos's authority to represent the Trade Federation, established a base of operations on the Mid Rim planet of Enarc. From this location, he maintained control over a contingent of Trade Federation Defense Fleet capital ships and combat droids, challenging the Empire to seize the Federation's wealth. The Empire's response was to dispatch Grand Moff Octavian Grant to quell this resistance as part of the broader Reconquest of the Rim.

The campaign

A significant deficiency in competent officers hindered Vooro's campaign. Consequently, Grant's naval forces achieved a decisive victory over Vooro's forces at Farstine, leading to a pursuit of Vooro along the Five Veils Route. Ultimately, Grant captured Vooro near the Hook Nebula in the Outer Rim Territories, effectively ending the campaign.

Aftermath

With the resistance suppressed and Vooro in custody, the Trade Federation's existence came to an end.
