Episode I Adventures 2: The Bartokk Assassins, a sequel to Star Wars Episode I Adventures, represents the second part of the series.
After rescuing Adi Gallia, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi remain on Esseles, searching for the missing fifty Droid starfighters. Aided by Boll Trinkatta, they locate his employed pilot Bama Vook, who admits to having hidden the fighters to prevent their acquisition by the Trade Federation.
Regrettably for the Jedi, they are spotted and chased by a group of Bartokk Assassins, acting on behalf of a mysterious employer. The Bartokks incapacitate Qui-Gon and manage to commandeer all the fighters onto a freighter, using Book's young son Chup-Chup as leverage. Simultaneously, Rune Haako and Daultay Dofine are on Esseles searching for evidence of the fighters, completely missing the Jedi and the assassins.
With his master out of action, Obi-Wan gives chase in a Z-95 Headhunter. He manages to destroy some of the fighters and then boards the freighter, battling the assassins to save Chup-Chup. Although he manages to recover half the starfighters, he learns that the Bartokks had already transferred the other half to another ship, now heading for Corulag. He reunites with his master, and they prepare to pursue, only to discover that all signal has been lost from the Jedi chapter house on Rhinnal where Adi Gallia was taken. They must decide whether to pursue the fighters or check on their colleague.
Meanwhile, Darth Sidious observes with annoyance as the Jedi come close to uncovering aspects of his scheme. Since the Neimoidians have failed him, he enlists his most reliable operative, Darth Maul, to recover the missing fighters....
