The Eternal Pyre was an immense pyre, built inside a naturally formed hollow, situated just to the east of the Valley of the Dark Lords on the planet Korriban.
The Sith Empire erected the Eternal Pyre close to the Valley of the Dark Lords on Korriban. This pyre was positioned within a naturally occurring depression that also contained several smaller temples and altars. The perpetually burning heap emitted a constant stream of smoke, and its flames were continuously fueled by the corpses of deceased slaves.
After the Dark Jedi Exiles arrived, Sorzus Syn, the Dark Lord of the Sith, spearheaded an exploration across the planet, visiting notable locations in order to gain knowledge about Sith culture. At the pyre, she unearthed the Mongrel Altar, concealed behind a mural depicting King Adas. Inside this altar, a collection of cursed scrolls and the decapitated body of Wyrmuk the Undying were hidden.
