Previously, New Apsolon's government was totalitarian, prioritizing a small, affluent group known as the Civilized over the Workers. Ewane, a champion of the common folk and head of the local resistance, was imprisoned by The Absolutes, the Civilized government's secret police. Consequently, his daughters were raised by Lenz, a fellow Worker, in his absence. Post-revolution, he was chosen as the Supreme Governor candidate in the inaugural free election, which he won. He subsequently secured a second term through re-election. Tragically, he was assassinated soon after. His successor was Roan, his closest ally, a Civilized individual who championed equality between Workers and Civilized. Roan also met his end, a victim of a scheme orchestrated by Ewane's twin daughters, Alani and Eritha, to seize control of New Apsolon.
