Falner Oeth, a Zabrak individual, held a position within the Imperial Diplomatic Service of the Sith Empire during the era known as the Cold War. He fathered a son who was located on Balmorra with aspirations of enlisting in the Shadow Fist squad.
During the time of the Galactic War, Oeth reached out to Vector Hyllus, a fellow member and acquaintance from their shared time in the Diplomatic Service, who had transitioned into a Joiner of a Killik colony. Despite his deep-seated aversion and disgust towards the Killiks, Oeth was willing to exploit Vector for his own purposes, specifically to carry out clandestine tasks. As an example, he tasked Vector with securing the cooperation of Yoganerr Thenoth, a former Republic governor of Ord Mantell, by transforming him into a Joiner. Following the acquisition of the desired intelligence, Oeth received a promotion and honored his agreement with Vector by orchestrating a conference between representatives of the Killiks and key figures within the Diplomatic Service. Nevertheless, Oeth undermined the conference by detonating an explosive device at the meeting and, openly acknowledging his role, delivered a public condemnation of the Killik-Imperial partnership. Regardless of his actions, the Sith Empire formally recognized a pact with the Killiks.
