A view showing the extent of Xim's empire, which included the Far Indrexu. The Far Indrexu designates the section of the Outer Rim Territories that was situated between the Tion Cluster and the Overic Griplink.
Around 25,100 BBY, Xim the Despot subjugated this region, incorporating it as the sixth province within his empire. During Xim's reign, the Far Indrexu encompassed the more rimward sections of what were known as the Thanium Worlds.
The region received its name to honor Indrexu, the celebrated Queen of Ranroon who valiantly resisted the invasion led by Xim the Despot. The intense Battle of Ranroon, which ultimately resulted in the queen's forces being defeated, enabled Xim to seize control of the area, establishing Yutusk as his sixth throne.
Following Xim's demise, his empire rapidly disintegrated, leading to the emergence of new political entities formed from the empire's previous territories. The Far Indrexu was divided among the Indrexu Confederation, the Keldrath Alignment, and various other independent states separate from the Tion Cluster.
