Fighter Black was a group of E-wing interceptor spacecraft that belonged to the Fifth Battle Group of the New Republic Defense Fleet, and were stationed on the Intrepid, an Endurance-class fleet carrier.
Just before the Battle of Doornik-319 took place, Fighter Black was among the squadrons that were ready to launch from the Intrepid without delay. Moreover, when the Intrepid warped into the system, Fighter Black helped form the fleet carrier's defensive fighter screen.
