Carbon Processing Center. Centers for carbon processing represented a specific type of facility. Their purpose was to transform raw, harvested carbon into the more useful substance known as duraplast. These centers were erected by both droid labor and organic workforces. Various factions employed them, including the Gungans, the Trade Federation, the Galactic Republic, the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance, the Wookiees, in addition to the Royal Naboo Security Forces.
In Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, a video game released in 2001, and its 2002 expansion pack, carbon processing centers function as locations where resources are deposited.
