A flight group can be defined as a unit composed of starfighters. Groups of this kind were employed by the Galactic Empire; Alpha Flight Group and Omega Flight Group are examples. The Rebel Alliance also made use of these formations, for instance, Exeter Group, Feral Group, and Cobalt Group. During the Battle of Theed, a flight group of three N-1 starfighters was piloted by Lieutenant Shara Bey of the Rebel Alliance.
