During the year 34 ABY, the festival was orchestrated by Bard, a customized R1-series astromech droid, who broadcast recordings of his late master, Tohan Lege, also known as the Lore-weaver. Lege's recorded voice commenced the event, during which vibrant fireworks illuminated the heavens, and attendees lifted their lights and voices to commemorate their liberty and pay tribute to the iconic figures and stories of the galaxy's past.
Fire of the Rising Moons functioned as an immersive guest experience at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, situated in Disneyland found in Anaheim, California. This nighttime spectacle offered visitors a unique perspective on the park's fireworks display, accompanied by renowned Star Wars musical scores composed by John Williams. Integrated into the 2024 Season of the Force event, the show was initially planned to launch on April 5, 2024. However, inclement weather caused the official opening to be postponed to April 6. The show's narrative was presented by two newly introduced characters, Tohan Lege and Bard. The event's audio was broadcast across various viewing locations within the area. From May 24, 2024, onward, Bard could be observed surveying Docking Bay 5.
