The unique antidote for those unfortunate enough to be bitten by an ice-beetle was the fire plant. This plant was exclusively found growing on the Mountain of Doom located on Endor. The Frost Giants residing on the mountain steered clear of the regions where these plants thrived.
On one occasion, the Ewoks Wicket Wystri Warrick and Teebo undertook a journey to the Mountain of Doom with the intention of acquiring a fire plant. After the two Ewoks aided the Frost Giants in eliminating a dragon-bird that was causing trouble on their mountain, the Giants shared the whereabouts of the fire plant with them.
