Theed Funeral Temple
The Theed Funeral Temple was a modest sanctuary situated on Naboo, a planet specifically designated for the cremations of deceased Naboo individuals.
History
Located just outside the city of Theed, the Funeral Temple provided a serene and contemplative environment for those grieving the dead. This ancient structure, characterized by its domed architecture, featured an aperture in its roof directly above the pyre, which was centrally positioned within the chamber. This temple served as the location where the planet's deceased were cremated, with their lives commemorated by those in mourning, who congregated in a multi-tiered formation encircling the pyre.
In 32 BBY, subsequent to the Trade Federation's failed invasion_of_naboo of the planet, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn underwent cremation at this very temple. This followed his demise, which occurred at the hands of Darth Maul, the Sith apprentice.
