Ninth Fleet (Galactic Alliance)

The Ninth Fleet functioned as one of the nine primary military formations within the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet. This fleet served the Alliance administration throughout the period of the Second Galactic Civil War around the year 40 ABY.

Throughout this period of instability, the Ninth Fleet operated from Crix Base located within the Coruscant system. Nevertheless, its operations remained somewhat unclear even to prominent Alliance leaders, including Grand Master Luke Skywalker of the New Jedi Order. Notably, it was the only fleet of the GA that was under the control of the Galactic Alliance Guard.

Some components of the Ninth Fleet participated in the conflict known as the Battle of Gilatter VIII.
