Garblaque, a Hutt entrepreneur, existed in the era of the Galactic War that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Sith Empire.
Approximately in 3650 BBY, Garblaque retreated to a moon orbiting the planet known as Hosko, where he was known for having comparatively simple preferences for a Hutt. Due to his intense fear of fighting, the outbreak of the Galactic War prompted him to spend all his wealth constructing an opulent dreadnaught called the Haven. To finance this ship, he started selling a multitude of tickets for a decade-long cruise designed to outlast the galactic hostilities.
Concurrent with these events, an admiral expressed interest in acquiring Garblaque the Hutt's gold-covered astromech droid and employed someone to negotiate a deal.
