Fearing involvement in the war, Garblaque resolved to embark on a decade-long year voyage of leisure aboard the Haven. However, the ship's construction drained his finances, compelling him to auction off thousands of berths to finance the journey. The Haven boasted marble flooring, carpets made of fur, and massage droids within each cabin. The smuggler known as Beryl Thorne picked up tales about a "wine spa" aboard. Thorne and the Voidhound attempted to procure passage on the Haven, but they were only able to secure tickets for deck seven, an area designated for those who breathed ammonia and non-humanoids.
