The Gas Miner of the Garman-class served as an atmospheric mining vessel, seeing widespread use by the Lant Mining Corporation.
Functioning more as a transport ship rather than a dedicated mining vessel, the Garman provided close-orbit support and storage for its group of twenty Gas Skimmer GS-IIIs. Positioned in the upper atmosphere of gas giants, the skimmers were deployed by the Garman, which then stored the harvested gases within its expansive, pressurized storage compartments. Upon reaching full capacity, the Garman would retrieve its skimmers and initiate a jump to a Lant Mining Corporations refinery to offload its collected resources and restart the entire operation.
