Gelagrubs, also referred to as Felucian ground beetles, represented an insect species native to the forest ecosystems of the planet Felucia, situated within the Outer Rim Territories.
Gelagrubs, notable for their impressive size and remarkable squishiness, stood out as the galaxy's largest insect type. To facilitate locomotion, they possessed five pairs of legs, while their eye placement atop their heads allowed for the detection of airborne threats. Their coloration consisted of dark green skin adorned with blue patches, providing effective camouflage within their habitat.
During the Clone Wars, clone troopers utilized them as riding beasts.
