Eighteen members of the Ubooki brothers employed the alias "Glah Ubooki" while managing and owning the chain of stores known as Glah Ubooki's Strange & Wondrous Imports.
The persona of "Glah Ubooki" was not a single individual; rather, it was a role "acted out" by eighteen Bimm siblings. The original Glah Ubooki stumbled upon a downed Imperial R&D vessel and discovered several Imperial prototype weapons. He reached out to seven of his brothers, and together, they were able to recover the majority of the valuable materials from the wreckage before Imperial salvage ships arrived. The next day, they traded the salvaged goods to a Rebel operative, who compensated them handsomely with a significant sum of credits.
The Ubooki siblings made the choice to use the funds to invest in a starship and explore nearby systems, seeking out unusual discoveries and treasures. The brothers gathered a substantial amount of Rebel and Imperial resources in the vicinity of the Saari Ha system, which they pilfered from Imperial and Rebel facilities. By taking advantage of conflicts and bombardments, the Ubooki brothers would simply infiltrate the facilities in question and abscond with data, secrets, equipment, and other valuables. The brothers would generally wait a few weeks before transporting the goods to markets located far from the original sites of the installations, where they would sell them. Frequently, they would inadvertently sell stolen items back to representatives of the faction from which they had initially been stolen.
The Ubooki brothers were consistently observed separately, with each introducing himself as "Glah Ubooki." This strategy was initially employed to confuse bounty hunters and other agents. Their enterprise proved so lucrative that eventually, pirates, mercenaries, and fringers began selling or donating items to Glah Ubooki. Due to their continued success, the Ubooki brothers expanded their operations by establishing several shops on various planets, including Bimmisaari, Tatooine, and Coruscant, while maintaining the custom of each brother identifying himself as "Glah Ubooki."
