After the depletion of its valuable metals, the mines were deserted, leading the inhabitants to shift their focus to farming. Consequently, Glova rose to prominence as a major supplier of food for various planets in the surrounding area.
The planet was declared a neutral territory around 4 ABY, with governance under the control of Governor Tegist Byrg. Following the events of the Battle of Endor, the New Republic established an embassy on the planet. Ambassador Robet Makina orchestrated a mission aimed at capturing the governor and exposing his ties to the Galactic Empire.
In the year 4 ABY, Admiral [Firmus Nantz], leading the New Republic's First Fleet, expelled [Sander Delvardus]'s forces from Glova. Simultaneously, General [Tyr Taskeen] of the New Republic spearheaded a ground assault, supported by Sullustan partisan fighters. The Glova campaign served to diminish Delvardus's power by preventing his Eriadu Authority from uniting with Imperial forces within the Elrood and Minos sectors.
Tenk Lenso and Jek Pugilio both originated on Glova, as it was their homeworld.
