Waz's method for generating a glowball involved using the Force to accumulate surrounding light into a single point. This process produced an effect similar to a miniature star, which could then be deployed to conceal vessels from enemy forces during combat. Initially, Waz's employment of the glowball completely depleted his strength, leading to physical exhaustion.
The initial recorded instance of this ability's employment took place at Arkania, where Waz utilized it to conceal the blastboat Jolly Man from the Yuuzhan Vong in an effort to seize a yammosk.
Subsequently, this technique found adoption among other Jedi, including Mara Jade Skywalker.
