Gold Bricks were golden-colored blocks scattered across the galaxy. Throughout the galaxy, these bricks were often given as prizes for finishing different assignments.
The initial appearance of gold bricks was in the non-canon video game titled LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which launched on June 28, 2016. Within LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, gold bricks serve the purpose of unlocking supplementary game stages. One can acquire gold bricks by finishing stages, attaining "True Jedi" standing in any stage, gathering all ten minikits within a stage, and fulfilling missions in the overworld. Their equivalent items in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga are kyber bricks.
The first creation of gold bricks was for the non-canon video game within the Star Wars Legends timeline, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, which initially came out on September 12, 2006.
