Golthan's Fortress, situated on the planet Voktunma, served as the military headquarters for Imperial Advisor Bregius Golthan. This stronghold was built in the western mountainous foothills, not far from Voktunma's starport, and its architecture featured high spires and sharply angled roofs. At the heart of the fortress, Golthan maintained a unique audience chamber, accessible through elaborately carved entryways.
A network of turbolaser towers, carefully positioned within the adjacent woodlands, formed the defensive perimeter. Shield generators, along with a sophisticated turbolaser targeting system, provided protection from aerial attacks. Just a solitary vessel, a Lambda-class shuttle possessing specific authorization codes, was permitted to pass beneath the shields each day.
In 1 ABY, the fortress sustained significant damage when the Black Curs, a band of mercenaries, successfully infiltrated the premises to free the smuggler Platt Okeefe. By taking out the shield generators and sensor systems, they enabled their starfighters to bombard the base.
The architectural design of this fortress drew inspiration from concept artwork initially created for Jabba's Palace featured in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
