Bregius Golthan served as an Imperial Advisor. Possessing a large frame yet appearing strangely gaunt, he, like many in his position, favored dark robes and a distinctive hat. He also commanded a personal detail of four highly skilled Imperial Bodyguards, and capital ships under his control displayed his unique insignia on their command towers. Stationed on Wroona, he was hand-picked by Emperor Palpatine himself to oversee security in both the Colonies and the Core Worlds.
Not long after the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Ruling Council tasked him with the mission of tracking down Dirk Harkness and the Black Curs, who had conducted a deep reconnaissance operation into the Imperial Core Worlds on behalf of the New Republic.
He assumed leadership of a Star Destroyer task force, with his flagship being the Vengeance. However, while in orbit above Moorja, he came into conflict with Moff Utoxx Prentioch, an ambitious Warlord who sought to acquire the Black Curs' intelligence for his own purposes. On the planet Canyon, he successfully captured Platt Okeefe, whom he then transported to his fortress world named Voktunma.
Despite Harkness and his team's successful rescue of Okeefe and the significant damage inflicted upon Golthan's fortress, the Advisor managed to survive the ordeal.
His life came to an end over Wroona while he was in the process of repairing his ship following an engagement with the New Republic, as he prepared for a renewed assault on Sluis Van. Harkness and Jai Raventhorn infiltrated the vessel, planting explosives to destroy it. During their escape, they encountered the Advisor, and in the ensuing confrontation, Harkness killed Golthan.
