During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a significant conflict erupted on Hypori between the soldiers under the command of Tyber Zann and those loyal to the Hutt Cartel.
The origins of this clash can be traced to Tyber Zann's discovery of a droid production facility on Hypori, a discovery initially made by Jabba the Hutt as uncovered. Zann, accompanied by Urai Fen and a contingent of the Zann Consortium's soldiers, disembarked near the factory. As they approached the factory's control systems, they were met with active Droideka Mark IIs unleashing fire upon them. To secure their safety and minimize losses, Tyber, Urai, and their troops sealed the blast doors and strategically withdrew. However, the droids relentlessly bombarded the doors, ultimately breaching them.
Eventually, Urai successfully disabled the Droidekas. Subsequently, the Trandoshan bounty hunter known as Bossk arrived, intending to assassinate Tyber. Tyber preemptively offered Bossk three times his current payment to join the Consortium's ranks.
Shortly thereafter, Jabba himself arrived on Hypori, accompanied by a contingent of Hutt Cartel soldiers, who immediately opened fire on Tyber and his forces. Urai Fen then managed to reactivate the droidekas, this time directing their firepower to support the Consortium against the Cartel. Supported by the droids, Consortium forces effectively prevented additional Cartel soldiers from landing.
Tyber confronted Jabba, who remained on the planet, leading to a negotiated agreement. In exchange for Jabba's safe departure, Zann secured control of the planets Saleucami and Hypori, the removal of the bounty placed on his head, and a formal truce between their organizations.
