The Grumani temple chamber on Skarpos The Grumani temple chamber was situated within the Morbollon Mesa region of the planet Skarpos. Before the time of the Republic Dark Age, this chamber functioned as a repository for the Helm of Ieldis, an ancient Sith artifact. This artifact was crafted by the Sith Lord known as Ieldis, and possessed the dangerous ability to incite murderous rage in sentient beings. The Grumani Hierophants, a religious group, were responsible for constructing the temple chamber.
During the year 1038 BBY, Aron and Mercia Holt came across the chamber as they were questing to find the Helm. In an effort to keep the Sith from obtaining the Helm, they used explosives to destroy the chamber, resulting in their own deaths. Prior to their demise, they recorded a holorecording that outlined their motivations and actions. However, the Helm endured the explosion due to its dark side energies, and was later retrieved by the Sith Lord Odion in 1032 BBY. He then attempted to use the Helm to trigger a galactic apocalypse powered by the Force, but his plans were foiled by the Jedi Knight Kerra Holt and her previous general, Beld Yulan.
