Gualaar were four-legged creatures distinguished by their white fur, black eyes, and a prominent single horn on their head. In 19 BBY, a quartet of these gualaar pulled the carriage bearing the open casket of Senator Padmé Amidala during her funeral procession on the planet Naboo.
The initial appearance of gualaar was in the 2005 movie, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a part of the prequel trilogy. Their formal identification within established canon occurred in Nexus of Power, a 2016 expansion for Star Wars: Force and Destiny by Fantasy Flight Games.
