Harix

Harix, situated in the Colonies, was a planet that served as a significant hub for Rebel operations during the Galactic Civil War. In the year 1 ABY, Imperial Major Stafuv Rahz took a Harix schoolteacher and some children prisoner, intending to use them as leverage against Rebel leaders. However, Luke Skywalker and [Han Solo](/article/han_solo/legends], both Rebels, launched a rescue mission, successfully freeing the captives before their escape from the world.

Description

Located within the Harix system of the Colonies, this planet, named Harix, was a forested world distinguished by its notable mountain ranges, notably the Talhu Slotted Peaks. The Talhu range featured several elevated passes, and the Shaelo Cliff was positioned in close proximity.

History

During the Galactic Civil War, Harix evolved into a center of Rebel activity, with local educators often spearheading these efforts at the grassroots level. The Galactic Empire recognized this burgeoning resistance and stationed a garrison on the planet, aiming to suppress dissent and maintain order. By 1 ABY, the Imperial forces were under the command of Major Stafuv Rahz, a Gektl who, in that year, received directives from Sith Lord Darth Vader to abduct a Harix schoolteacher, Myoris Lin, and her students, hoping to lure out prominent Rebel figures. Although Rahz and his stormtroopers successfully captured most of their intended targets, Lin's young son, Berd, managed to break free and seek assistance from the Rebels Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Skywalker and Solo successfully rescued Lin and her students. During the subsequent conflict, Rahz met his demise when Berd ingeniously modified his sonic beam projector, causing it to explode. With TIE fighters deployed by Vader himself in hot pursuit, the Rebels, Lin, and the children made their escape from Harix permanently.
