Myoris Lin

Myoris Lin, a Human female, resided on the planet called Harix during the era of the Galactic Civil War, working as a teacher. She was the mother of a young boy known as Berd. Lin's teaching position was at a school that had connections with the Rebel Alliance; these connections attracted the attention of the Galactic Empire during the year 1 ABY. Major Stafuv Rahz, acting under the orders of the Sith Lord Darth Vader, along with a group of stormtroopers, abducted Lin together with the majority of her students, with the intention of using them as bait to lure out prominent Rebel leaders. Berd, Lin's son, was the only one who managed to escape, and he successfully enlisted the help of Rebels Luke Skywalker and Han Solo to spearhead a rescue operation. Rahz had planned to execute Lin and the other captives himself inside the school building; however, Skywalker and Solo intervened at the last moment, rescuing them. Subsequently, Lin, her son, and her students departed from Harix alongside the Rebels.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of Myoris Lin was in Bring Me the Children, which was a comic strip story arc penned by Don Christensen and published in 1980. Russ Manning provided the illustrations for Lin's comic book debut. She was initially known only as Myoris in Bring Me the Children, but her surname, Lin, was added 27 years later in the Hyperspace supplement Aliens in the Empire by Abel G. Peña and Rich Handley.
