A droid factory, responsible for creating helper droids, existed on the planet Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

This droid factory was situated within a remote region of forested hills found on Corellia. It specialized in the production of helper droids. These droids were variations of the R2-series astromech droids and were designed to offer users recurring advice tailored to their specific occupations. The entire manufacturing process was supervised by the droid known as QU3-3N.
In the year 1 ABY, Draykken Bender, who was a leader of the Meatlumps, a Corellian group of technology-hating terrorists, targeted the droid factory. Draykken and Hraykken Bender gave a spacer the mission of attacking the factory with the goal of destroying as many helper droids as possible. Consequently, the spacer engaged in combat and successfully destroyed the majority of the helper droids present in the facility, including QU3-3N.
Around the same period, the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 also traveled to the droid factory. Their purpose was to examine the programming used in the helper droids. C-3PO then requested a spacer to obtain several droid interfaces for more in-depth analysis.
The helper droid factory appeared as a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The helper droid factory was incorporated into the game through "Game Update 10," which was launched on June 2, 2009.
