Hermos was an android Human replica droid whose manufacturer remains a mystery. It's reasonable to suggest, however, that his creation was independent of the Rebel's Project Decoy, as well as the replica droid initiative spearheaded by Massad Thrumble and Simonelle, who were Ingoian. Hermos was designed primarily for physical strength, with little emphasis placed on aesthetics, resulting in only a vague resemblance to a Human.
During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Hermos served as the protector of Nescan Tal'yo. Tal'yo had come to possess a holocube that held the coordinates of several hidden Rebel bases. It is believed that Tal'yo obtained this holocube, likely with Hermos's help, after eliminating a Rebel courier at Farwell Station. Recognizing the cube's immense value, Tal'yo began to formulate a plan to sell the contained information to the highest-paying party.
The Galactic Empire made contact with Tal'yo and arranged a meeting on the planet Elerion. To ensure the holocube's security, Tal'yo engaged Gogol, the proprietor of the Lucky Star, to conceal the device. Tal'yo moved among the casino's patrons while Hermos stood guard, ready to defend Tal'yo should anyone attempt an attack before the exchange. As Hermos observed the casino's occupants, a young woman approached the droid and began to compliment his impressive build. Hermos was confused by the woman's attention until Tal'yo intervened, clarifying that Hermos was an android.
Hermos followed the woman and his employer to a room located on an upper level of the casino. As Tal'yo attempted to charm the woman, Hermos maintained a vigil near the window. Regrettably, the woman was revealed to be a Rebel operative dispatched to infiltrate the casino and eliminate the holocube. Hermos lunged at the woman to shield his master, but she quickly aimed her blaster at the droid and discharged it. Hermos was propelled through the third-story window and into the crowd surrounding the casino. General [Khorak]((/article/general-legends) witnessed the incident and dispatched troops to the location. Unfortunately for the Imperials, the Rebel operatives successfully destroyed the holocube.
