Hewl

Hewl, a celestial body, resided in the Hewl system, which itself was situated within the Eidoloni sector of the Mid Rim. The Rebel Alliance Lieutenant Colonel Palpatine Essex Yerac held particular notoriety for the fog banks of Karap Valley, which was a location found on Hewl. Hewl was an astronomical object.

Palpatine Essex Yerac was tracking a group of independent bounty hunters through Karap Valley's fog banks sometime around 2 ABY. During this pursuit, the Rebel officer unexpectedly came across Vacander, a Filar-Nitzan infiltrator, who instructed Yerac to stop chasing the bounty hunters. Yerac later referenced his encounter with Vacander on Hewl in an added note to an Alliance SecuriDex datafile concerning Vacander.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Hewl occurred in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. In 2009, The Essential Atlas, a reference book, located the Hewl system, and consequently Hewl itself, within grid square M-16.
