Hez functioned as a clone trooper sergeant within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic.
During the events of 22 BBY, he was a member of Torrent Company, a unit belonging to the 501st Legion. He accompanied General Anakin Skywalker together with Captain Rex during both the Battle of Christophsis and the subsequent Battle of Teth. Hez aided Skywalker, along with his new Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, in their mission to retrieve a kidnapped Huttlet. While defending the entrance of the monastery where the Huttlet was being kept, Hez, in addition to at least three members of his squad, died as a result of droid fire.
Hez, being a male Human clone originating from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett, possessed a height of 1.83 meters. His birthplace was the planet Kamino, situated in Wild Space.
The first appearance of Hez occurred in the 2008 novelization of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film, penned by Karen Traviss.
