Hieroglyphics

Hieroglyphics represented an archaeological designation for alien, rudimentary, age-old, and enigmatic kinds of writing system, typically etched into rigid materials. Their application appears to have been within ceremonial, commemorative, pictorial, and ornamental settings. These applications and characteristics set them apart from the more contemporary and informal alphabetic methods.

The Sith of antiquity employed a hieroglyphic script, which was refined into High Sith through streamlining, ultimately giving rise to Common Sith and the Massassi alphabets.

Pinnacles adorned with otherworldly hieroglyphics were observed among the memorials and relics located in the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan, a city of the dead established following the New Sith Wars.

Sanyassans utilized hieroglyphs, deemed unrefined and indecipherable by Pfilbee Jhorn. The Dressellians likewise employed primitive hieroglyphs, until they embraced the Botha alphabet. The Abyssin written language also consisted of hieroglyphs.
