The Sanyassans, a reptilian species originating from the planet Sanyassa IV, employed hieroglyphs as their writing system for their unique language. Imperial Sergeant Pfilbee Jhorn, in his reconnaissance report submitted to Emperor Palpatine, made reference to the Sanyassan hieroglyphs he observed on Endor. The sergeant reported that these symbols were roughly etched into the stones surrounding the entryway to King Terak's castle, but he was unable to decipher their meaning.
