Hiit was a moon situated in the Outer Rim Territories and belonging to the Corporate Sector. As the homeworld of the Hiitians, their initial encounter with the Trianii Rangers from beyond their world occurred around 1500 BBY. The Corporate Sector Authority incorporated Hiit into its territory in 5 BBY.
This desolate terrestrial moon, named Hiit, orbited Maal, a gas giant-type planet. It existed within the Hiit system, which is a component of the Corporate Sector found in the Outer Rim Territories'. Its location was at the junction of the hyperlanes called the Authority Guardian Corridor and the Trianii Shunt, providing connections to the Atchorb and Ninn systems as well as the Fibuli and Lythos systems respectively.
Around 1500 BBY, the Hiitian species on Hiit made their first contact with the Trianii Rangers hailing from the Trianii species of another world. Following this initial contact, millions of the moon's inhabitants eventually ventured out into the broader galaxy. Despite the peaceful nature of their first meeting, the Hiitite Ravagers, a Hiitian raiding group, emerged sometime prior to the establishment of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, leading to conflicts with the Trianii Rangers. In 5 BBY, the Corporate Sector Authority annexed Hiit, resulting in a wary and hostile attitude from the Hiitians towards that governing body.
Hiit first appeared in the 2009 reference work, The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry. The book placed it within grid square S-3.
