This occurred as a component of the HoloNet News promotional activities for the animated television show Star Wars Rebels, which was soon to be released at that time. The pin displayed the symbol of the Imperial Press Corps, which is an in-universe group of journalists working for the Galactic Empire. Accompanying the pin was a card that contained an official canonical message from HNN Bureau Chief Eris Harro and Minister of Information Pollux Hax. The reverse side of the card provided details about the debut of Star Wars Rebels.
