Holopet

The projection of the hologram required a holo-emitter, while the characteristics of the pet were stored on a holo-pet data cube. The range of these Holo-pets was limited to the specific rooms containing the holo-emitters.
Examples of holo-pet types included:
Rarer options for holo-pets featured an Ewok and a Jawa, in addition to scaled-down versions of a Rancor and an AT-AT.
Behind the scenes
Within Star Wars Galaxies, holopets allowed individuals to furnish their residences with miniature, animated holographic animals that roamed the space.
These were initially made available through Chapter 4 in November of 2006, awarded as a complimentary gift to every player who accessed the game between the release of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 in February of 2007. Each player was given one holo-emitter and a randomly selected holo-pet. In June of 2007, two additional holo-pets, INS-444 and CLE-004, were introduced as rewards for the house packup event of that year. Chapter 11 brought a Tauntaun holopet and a collection that rewarded players with a new holo-emitter. Those playing the game as a Beast Master profession also gained the power to transform unhatched creature eggs into holo-beasts.
