Holopucks, which can also be called holographic pucks, data pucks, or even bounty pucks, were compact holographic devices. They were used by the Bounty Hunters' Guild to identify the target of a bounty.

A holographic image of the bounty's target was displayed on holopucks. The word "WANTED" was also shown in Aurebesh. Along with this, the details of the bounty were listed: the credit amount offered, the reasons for the bounty (or the crimes committed), the operational jurisdiction for the hunt, and the specific conditions for collecting the bounty. When combined with a tracking fob, the information on a puck allowed Guild members to pursue their target across vast distances of the galaxy.
The Galactic Empire used holopucks carried by Clone X troopers to maintain a heavily encrypted list of targets.
In 9 ABY, the Guild distributed holopucks to its members on Nevarro. Accepting a puck signified the hunter's acceptance of the bounty.
The first appearance of holopucks was in Chapter 1 of The Mandalorian, a Disney+ television series from 2019 that premiered on November 12, 2019. The device was later officially identified as a holopuck in its Databank entry on StarWars.com.
