Hweg Shul functioned as the main city and capital on the planet known as Nam Chorios. This urban center stretched for only a few kilometers, following the courses of underground water seams. By 13 ABY, its population was a little over eight thousand, with a majority of the inhabitants living and working beneath the surface along the water seams, which allowed them to cultivate their own sustenance. The city above ground was divided into two distinct sections, each inhabited by the Oldtimers and the Newcomers respectively, who avoided interaction with each other.
The Oldtimer section of Hweg Shul presented a rather unkempt appearance, characterized by older plastopress dwellings featuring a once-white stucco finish that had significantly eroded and was now covered in snigvine. These houses were constructed directly on the earth, as the Oldtimers were not afraid of, or even particularly bothered by, the recurring ground lightning that was produced by the native tsils of Nam Chorios.
Conversely, the Newcomer section was primarily composed of white, box-shaped houses elevated on stilts, as the Newcomers, and especially their electronic devices, did not fare well when exposed to ground lightning.
- Seti Ashgad's House
One particular residence, the palatial townhouse belonging to Seti Ashgad in the Newcomer section, was an exception and was built at ground level because it was constructed approximately thirty years before the rest of the quarter. In most aspects, the exterior architectural style and building materials of this house were similar to those of the Oldtimer houses, although it was considerably better maintained and surrounded by a lavish and, considering the cold sun, harsh environment and stretched economy of the settlers in general, rather extravagant watered garden of imported growths and trees. Originally constructed as a residence for the Hutt Beldorion the Splendid, the interior reflected a typical Huttese design.
