Ifpe'a existed as a Chiss Expansionary Defense Force space station situated within the Unknown Regions.
The station's form resembled an upside-down cone, stretching approximately 1,000 meters from its apex to its base. It featured at least one docking bay and had the ability to hold numerous hyperspace-capable escape pods.
Back in 22 BBY, Aristocra Sev'eere'nuruodo from the Nuruodo family convened with Kung'urama'nuruodo, an envoy representing the Galactic Republic, on the station. During their parley, Ifpe'a was assaulted by a Confederacy of Independent Systems fleet led by overseer Umbrag. Although the Aristocra and the ambassador managed to flee aboard the Hasty Harpy, the Chiss station lacked the defenses to withstand the attack and was seized by Separatist troops.
Under the orders of Count Dooku, Umbrag sent his fleet back to Skako, leaving only the overseer's personal Metalorn Yacht to guard the captured station. This solitary ship was swiftly defeated by the Black Hole Gang upon their return with the Harpy, compelling Umbrag to withdraw. A group of Chiss warships quickly took back Ifpe'a after the brief battle.
