Ilamna was a space body situated within the star system of the same designation. This system resided inside the Eucer sector of the Mid Rim. This cosmic entity existed in the region called the Divide during the Tionese War, a conflict involving the Galactic Republic and the Honorable Union of Desevro & Tion. During that specific period, Republic settlers had established a presence on Ilamna.
Not long before the war concluded, approximately around 23,900 BBY, Republic settlements located on the space object Okator VIII were annihilated through the actions of a Tionese military contingent. A farmer who became a Republic soldier, who had personally observed this attack, later recounted the events of the assault via a Baragwin sense lattice. The aforementioned soldier commented that the Tionese forces could have easily selected any of the other inhabited space bodies within the Divide, including the world of Ilamna, as their target.
Originally, Ilamna was intended for inclusion in the 2012 reference work titled The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. However, the specific portion referencing this space object was removed prior to the book's publication.
Subsequently, in 2014, information about Ilamna was made public as a component of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut. This was a collection of articles featured on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Erich Schoeneweiss, and it contained various sections that had been omitted from The Essential Guide to Warfare. The Online Companion to The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book, positioned the Ilamna system, and thus the space body itself, within grid coordinate Q-7.
