The Imperial Armored Transport, manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards, measured fifty meters in length and was operated by a crew of ten, with capacity for twenty soldiers.
This armored transport, the Imperial Armored Transport, possessed a pair of laser cannons for offensive capabilities. Its navigation system included a Class Two hyperdrive as well as a Class Twelve backup. The vessel was capable of transporting at minimum, 30,000 metric tons of cargo, along with enough consumables to last for 3 months. Certain ships, for example the Timely and Elusive, featured an enhanced armament of four double turbolaser batteries in addition to the standard two laser cannons.
Serving as a precursor design to the Star Galleon-class frigate, the Imperial Armored Transport's primary role was intra-system logistical support. Two of these transports, Elusive and Timely, were tasked with clearing wreckage from the Alliance to Restore the Republic base located on Dankayo. Subsequently, the Elusive underwent modifications, including the addition of an external rack designed to carry six TIE Fighters.
