Sometime around 2 ABY, a minimum of two members of the Galactic Empire carried out an enslavement raid. During this operation, they seized a number of Wookiees, and caused the killing of at least one individual, specifically Zherriak. Nevertheless, the imprisoned Wookiees managed to subdue their Imperial captors, forcibly taking control of their starship. While the majority of the Wookiees decided to go back to their homeworld, the planet of Kashyyyk, using the stolen vessel, the Wookiee named Liak made a different decision. He chose to enlist with the Rebel Alliance in order to combat the Empire and exact revenge for the death of his dear friend, Zherriak.
This raid is referenced within the short story "Do No Harm." Erin Endom authored this story for integration with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. It was then featured in the tenth issue of Star Wars Adventure Journal, released in May of 1996.
