Combat medic personnel within the Imperial Army of the Galactic Empire were known as Imperial medics. Their duty involved administering initial medical assistance and trauma treatment directly on the front lines of battle. They were supported by droid assistants and Imperial Mobile Surgical Units, which were essentially pre-built medcenters, along with sophisticated medical advancements like pain-relieving gas and antiseptic field projectors. Even though they were healers, Imperial medics were armed to fight aliens during conflicts because the Empire believed that ancient medical oaths only extended to members of their own species throughout the galaxy. A red symbol was displayed on a characteristic white duty band worn on their bicep.
The movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, released in 2018, featured Imperial medics.
