Imperial Palaces were structures erected by the Galactic Empire that served as Monuments. These Palaces were constructed by ASP-7 labor droids and each one required 3000 units of carbon, nova crystals, and ore to build. Their design included a square base, with the tower's front containing a single entrance. Furthermore, they featured two spheres and a statue of the Emperor, Palpatine. Following the Empire's seizure of Cloud City in 3 ABY, one such Imperial Palace was erected on Bespin, a gas giant. Moff Hindane Darcc possessed his own palace on Kashyyyk; however, it was obliterated by a Wookiee military force after the Battle of Endor.
Within the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Imperial Palaces represent the Galactic Empire's Monument buildings. During the Cloud City Attack mission in the Darth Vader campaign, one of these structures must be built. Conversely, during the Chewbacca campaign, one of these structures must be destroyed. Successfully constructing and defending an Imperial Palace for a specific duration serves as a victory condition in skirmish missions. These structures can also be built during multiplayer matches in the game's 2002 expansion, Clone Campaigns.
The design of the Imperial Palace monument was repurposed for the Imperial Palace located on Coruscant, resulting in a visual appearance that deviated significantly from most other portrayals.
